Vented Redblock Torque Engine Mount for 240 chassis fits 1975-1993
We have developed a torque mount for the Volvo 240 redblock motors. The block and rail mount are made out of 1/4 inch 6061 aluminum with #6 heim joints 7/16-20 threads. The adjustment rod is also made out of 6061 aluminum. All of the aluminum products will be finished with anodized black.
Using torque mount will take the stress off the driver side rubber mount. The Drivers side mount tends to shear prematurely especially manual cars. We already tested the torque mount on a b21ft M46 running LH b230 intake shown in picture below. We tested with Yoshifab motors mounts and stock aftermarket 240 mounts. The torque mount does create vibration at idle but it all depends how much you preload the torque mount. There is NO vibration at cruising speeds or decel, but only at idle. The vibration is at a minimal nothing out of the ordinary especially when you are running poly motor mounts. We have ran RSI black poly and Yoshifab motor mounts they also create vibration about the same at idle as our torque mount.
The block mount has a Vented port -10 An male fitting. You can run a oil catch can with this torque mount.
We run the Preload at 1/4 of a turn.

For the ones with 1983-1984 240 this torque mount wont work unless you change over to the new style AIC brackets.
Early K-jet motors B21F (1976-1982) Sorry these wont fit because of the FPR is in the way etc.
You have to run 1985 b230 and UP idle air motor bracket or no bracket to clear the rod.
