The breather system on Volvo overhead cam engines is often overlooked, but it plays a critical role in keeping crankcase pressure under control. When the system becomes clogged—especially the breather box or flame trap—it can cause positive crankcase pressure, which forces oil past seals and gaskets. Left unchecked, this pressure can even push out a seal completely, leading to major leaks and costly repairs.
To eliminate these issues for good, we’ve developed our billet aluminum PCV box, precision-machined in-house from high-quality aluminum. This replaces the failure-prone plastic OEM breather box with a durable, serviceable solution designed.
